Hey there!

I'm Casey Sturm! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider working in Knoxville, TN. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Carson Newman University and am board certified. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I offer Christian counseling services upon request of the individual/parent and believe that faith plays a huge role in mental health.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and often incorporates the family. I have experience working in social services, foster care, and community mental health. I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I utilize Play Therapy because play is a child’s language. I am passionate about giving my clients a voice while providing ongoing empathetic support for families. I believe that everyone deserves a safe place to explore, grow, and heal.

I have grown up in the South - and although I've lived in several different states, Tennessee is definitely my home. I am married to a wonderful man, Brandon, and we have two beautiful children: Lucas and Andi Jo. I love reading, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies. I also enjoy watching basketball, baseball, and football (GO VOLS!). I have traveled the world doing mission work and even lived in Kenya for an extended period of time working as a Social Worker at a hospital.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
